What are Structural Sections?
Structural Sections are used in construction achieving different load bearing purposes. These structural shapes with varying cross section profiles, provide the basic building blocks for any construction to occur.
BEAMS
A steel beam is a structural steel product that is made to support heavy loads. Steel beams come in different sizes and types, hence their different applications in the construction of structures and buildings.
CHANNELS
Channels or C-beams are often used where the flat, back side of the web can be mounted to another flat surface for maximum contact area. They are also sometimes welded together back-to-back to form a non-standard I-beam.
ANGLES
Angle beams consist of two legs that come together, meeting at a 90-degree angle. The leg sizes may or may not be of equal size, depending on the requirements.
